Our landscape plan got approved on Tuesday, so we are crossing our fingers that the landscapers can begin planting trees and shrubs tomorrow. We will be so happy to have something other than dirt and mud in our yard.

I'm very happy to report that we passed our final inspection this morning, and will have our CO by the end of the day. It's been a long and tiring 80 days, since we started clearing the lot, but the end is finally near. We're going to start moving in on Friday.
Still to do:
~Painters are touching up the inside today, and hopefully the outside tomorrow.

Stone!

It seems as though we have waited for the stone to be installed for weeks now. Well, it's done!! And it looks great. Really finishes off the house nicely. And no more cinder block steps!!

Exterior Paint & Interior Carpet

1st PHOTO: Right Side of Family Room
2nd PHOTO: Left Side of Family Room
3rd PHOTO: Left Side of House
4th PHOTO: Front of House
5th PHOTO: Right Side of House

The carpet guys came out installed the carpet in the family room, bedrooms, and upstairs. It is so thick and plush, it almost killed our vacuum. The painters are almost done with the exterior painting. They still need to paint the front door, and then head inside to do a ton of paint touch-ups. The walls are messy from the tile/carpet installation, electricians, HVAC guys, etc.
We are hoping to have the stone veneer put on the front of the house on Monday.
Still to do:
~stone veneer/steps/railing at front porch
~screens on screened porch
~continue grading
~irrigation/landscaping/sod

Our goal is to have our CO (certificate of occupancy) on Wednesday or Thursday. Movers are scheduled for Friday!

~continued final grading
~conditional power is on, so we can actually turn on a few lights and see things after 5:30!!

Stamped Concrete Patio

Back when we were planning our house, I mentioned that I would like a small patio behind the house, off the basement doors. A little place to put a few chairs, so we can watch the kids play in the backyard. B has been asking for a fire pit for a while now (so we can roast marshmallows), so we plan to put one just off the patio in the future sometime. Originally, we were going to hold off, and eventually do a paver patio. Then Chris decided to just do a stamped concrete patio, while the concrete guys were are the house pouring the driveway, and just get it done. It looks great!! Can't wait until there's pretty landscaping around it, and some comfy chairs to lounge in! We're planting a corkscrew willow off the one corner of the patio.
**Pics of the finished driveway are in the post below...**

Driveway - Part 2

The driveways are done!! The concrete is still drying - we're hoping no critters walk on it and leave their paw marks. It looks great. There's a lot of driveway, which means there will be less grass to mow.

3rd PHOTO: Driveway comes straight of the street, and goes straight back to the basement garage. In the front, it "Y"'s off to the left to get to the front door and to the main garage.
